Here's a book that will help you understand cancer, the way it operates, and where we are in treating it from a top-level cancer doctor and researcher. She has the ability to help those of us who are not in the medical field get quickly and deeply into the subject. She tells her story and the story of her family with humility, clarity, honesty passion and insights that help us all. What more can one ask?I'm working with a friend and his family who was recently and unexpectedly diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer. Dr. Ross's writing has been a huge help in creating context in the midst of all the changes in cancer treatment and the resulting confusion, anger and hard-to-understand side-effects that go with those shifts in medicine.
